Thor (2011)

maxresdefault.jpgDefinitely some character development and a fun introduction to Asgard, Thor and Loki. Visually great, but a little less sarcastic than the others. There were funny parts, but was definitely a different feel from some of the other films in the series.

Characters:
Thor (Chris Hemsworth) – the jock
Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) – the scientist
Loki (Tom Hiddleston) – the clever trickster
Odin (Anthony Hopkins) – the king father
Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) – the seasoned scientist
Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) – the fun assistant
Heimdal (Idris Elba) – the guardian

Summary:
“The powerful, but arrogant god Thor, is cast out of Asgard to live amongst humans in Midgard (Earth), where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.” – IMDB Summary

Overall, a good one to watch. It’s Thor’s origin story so important to the story of the series. I enjoyed it, but not one of my favorites. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston played their roles very well.

After Credits:
End – Nick Fury welcomes Erik Selvig to a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility and, after showing him the Tesseract, asks him to investigate the object further. Selvig agrees, unaware that his mind is being controlled by Loki.
