Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

abc2ce953caf0904d5e64d393f1a6004They’re back! Extremely fun opening, perfectly paced story, phenomenal visuals/CGI, timeless music and of course a killer cast to seal the deal. This movie was so much fun, but also gave depth to several of the characters and even answered many questions that were left from the first film.

Characters:
Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) – the cute, funny, emotional hero as usual
Gamora (Zoe Saldana) – the strong and deep woman we all know
Nebula (Karen Gillian) – the fussy sister
Rocket (Bradley Cooper) – the jerk with a heart
Yondu (Michael Rooker) – the jerk with a heart who achieved his own hero moment
Kraglin (Sean Gunn) – the supportive second
Mantis (Pom Klementieff) – the new girl with a new kind of humor
Drax (Dave Bautista) – the insensitive bulk who stole many of the jokes this movie
Groot (Vin Diesel) – the precious baby who has stolen our hearts
Ego (Kurt Russell) – the (messed up) father

Summary:
“The Guardians struggle to keep together as a team while dealing with their personal family issues, notably Star-Lord’s encounter with his father the ambitious celestial being Ego.” – IMDB Summary

Overall, great fun and you won’t be disappointed! NEED to see. Way to fun to miss out on.

Stan Lee Cameo:
Lee appears as an astronaut telling a story to The Watchers, mentioning his stint as a deliveryman in Civil War. He appears again in the post credits scenes, where the Watchers leave, tired of his stories as he quotes to them that they are his only ride back to Earth.

After Credits (5):
1 – Kraglin tries to use Yondo’s Arrow only to run away after stabbing Drax in the shoulder
2 – Stakar Ogord, inspired by Yondu’s sacrifice, brings his wife and comrades together and proposes they reassemble their old team (not sure what this means…)
3 –  Ayesha tells her chambermaid she is creating a being capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy, deciding to call her creation “Adam” (hasn’t come up again…)
4 – Peter Quill walks in on teenager Groot playing a video game and shows his disgust over the vines Groot has shed all over the room
5 – The Watchers walk away from their informant as he implores them to stay and listen to his adventures
