6 Underground (2019)

Good action, comedy, thriller as well as a cool heist type movie. A bit confusing in the beginning, but it sort of starts to make sense mid-way. I really enjoyed the soundtrack. Just so you know it’s not about them being dead/ghosts… it took me longer than I care to admit to realize that after watching the trailer. Really entertaining!

Overall, a unique watch. I wasn’t disappointed, but didn’t have high expectations. I’d recommend! Love me some Ryan Reynolds.

Extraction (2020)

If you are looking for a good gun/fight movie this is for you! Also, some sort of Inception ending so let me know what you think the final scene means. There was a nice single-take scene that lasted about 11 minutes, impressive. A sequel has been announced.

17 Again (2009)

This movie is such a fun watch! You will laugh, cry, and cringe throughout a well put together story. The script is gold and I’m sure they let Thomas Lennon just ad lib sometimes and were not disappointed. I have two favorite scenes: Mike explains to the cafeteria why Stan is a bully while doing amazing basketball tricks and the courtroom scene near the end where I cry every time cause it’s so sweet and heart breaking at the same time! It’s such a great watch and a great cast.

Onward (2020)

Super cute and better than I thought it would be. The trailer made it seem like the story would focus on the dad and luckily it really focused on the brothers. The dad was just weirdly playing footsies periodically, but the other characters were well built. If you like adventure games the references are super fun! Not the best thing in the world, but a fun watch and gorgeous animation, of course.

Leap Year (2010)

Such a fun rom com with a super cute script! In addition, there are a lot of witty one liners and beautiful shots of Ireland. Super light hearted and you fall in love with the characters every time you watch. It’s a short watch, but definitely a good watch.

Emma. (2020)

Such a good romantic comedy based on the Jane Austen novel Emma. It was so funny and so entertaining start to finish. Just what I was looking for amidst this crazy pandemic! The script was witty and fun which paired perfectly with lavish costumes and gorgeous filming locations.

Beautiful film. Emotional story with a great cast. The music is gorgeous. There’s love, fear, hope, and art throughout. Makes viewers feel lifted and inspired after watching. You’ll be looking for music everywhere and in everything you hear!

Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)

Yes. This movie was so fun! Great cast, hilarious writing, epic fight choreography, and a super punchy soundtrack. Perfect for a galentines or any time! If you are female or have been through a break-up (any kind of pairing) there are plenty of relatable moments for you! This wasn’t as dark (literally and figuratively) as past DC movies and takes on a more Deadpool tone for the DC Universe.

Marriage Story (2019)

What a raw and honest look at divorce and relationships. The ups the downs the pains, but the forever remnant love. There were parts that were really hard to watch. The soundtrack really emphasized the story. Really great acting all around and very good writing.

Wow. What an amazing film. Great acting, moving story, epic cinematography, good soundtrack. I can’t think of a complaint. Just a well built and executed movie. The choice to film in one continuous take made it so intense and took the audience along the gut turning journey. Such an amazing piece of art.
